Kitty photo shoot...(:

I'm a cat lady...the model is Camry in most, the last is Damien because he decided moms hair was a toy. ;P
I

Beauty boxes!

I have a new addiction. Birchbox and Ipsy have been my bread and butter lately. I have spent WAY too much on them! After sampling products that are so awesome, I inevitably buy one of my products each month! That being said, every penny was worth it. Its like I'm getting a present every time I open the mailbox to find one.  For those of you who are not in the know, beauty boxes are monthly subscriptions. Birch and Ipsy are both only $10 a month and you get a variety of high end products to sample. They each have their ups and downs, but for ten dollars, I'm not complaining. Each month I am going to start posting my boxes to share my goodies with y'all! ;)

This is what I have found from my first boxes from each company...

Birchbox
Pro- The products are truly high end. It's like a small spa kit in the mail. :) I like this box because I feel I definitely get my moneys worth.
Con- The box is more hair and skin oriented, so not many makeup products. Although I have gotten several polishes I really enjoyed.

Ipsy
Pro- This box is ALL about makeup, which I adoreeee! I like that the makeup brands are always high quality. The product size is VERY generous as well. This sub is the best for the money on value. You also get a makeup bag with every months box!
Con- Sometimes I get products that do not fit my skin tones! This can be especially frustrating for someone with very fair skin like mine.  A person with a darker complexion can easy pull off a wide array of colors, but us pale kids are on a pretty set color diet.

With that being said, I couldn't pick between them. They are both awesome and well worth the $10 I spend on them each month.

Poor town blues.

People are so dumb. Even me, I'm dumb too. Some people though, they shouldn't breed.

I can't help but be frustrated with people. Is it really THAT hard to be a decent human being? I'm not the best, but if I see an injustice, I handle it.  I work at a video rental store (No, they aren't extinct...yet!).  I feel as if I see the scum of my town daily. I also live in a small town, it is not the best town around, but I'm in college...what do you expect? LOL. I deal with people who are on drugs, men who go into the "back room" with their children in the store and people who want everything for free. These customers are a dime a dozen.
It makes me want to educate them. Teach them to be a better version of themselves. I know this is wishful thinking in a poor area, maybe even ethnocentrism at it's worst. I wish there was a way to help these people become more, but I don't think they know there is a different way to live. So for now, I will continue to be frustrated with the people of this town.
